We felt like an IaaS cloud platform that is easy and reliable to use while also meeting the high data protection requirements of Swiss customers was missing. So, we built this platform – and have been offering virtual servers and other cloud resources in a self-service model since 2016.

Since the beginning, we have been in close contact with our users and have oriented the development of our offering based on their needs. This has led to integrations with DevOps tools like Ansible and Terraform, as well as support for CSI for the automated provisioning of PVs in Kubernetes.

In 2019, we expanded our infrastructure with a second cloud location, enabling geo-redundant setups for our customers. With a Cloud Control Panel that facilitates collaboration among users inside and outside their own company and can optionally be integrated with their own Single Sign-On (SSO), cloudscale is suitable for use in demanding environments.

cloudscale is designed to be easy to use not just from a technical perspective: By operating our infrastructure exclusively in Switzerland, we simplify legal considerations for our customers. And, of course, we still value direct contact, both electronically and personally – after all, we are nearby.
